A Place to Get Lost Towards [Overview]

It’s time for a new kind of family vacation! To…where?

You don’t know where a path leads unless you walk it. (Or buy a map.)

2018. The year and the vacation where A Volume of Fiction was born – conceptually. (I got this website later.) I had intended to write about a fun family vacation, but the story that resulted was somehow more than just a recap.

The road trip we undertook showed us new ways family holidays could be fun, and, potentially, dangerous, – sort of – for before we even exited the Netherlands, my brother nearly got trapped in Maastricht forever.

All was not all well for me, either. There was something new I had to get used to this vacation, and it was not always easy.

On the road, we acquainted ourselves with the unexpected and the unfamiliar, and even though we hadn’t had a specific aim for this journey, we still found the place we wanted to get to in the end.

Hi, I'm Alex, and before I tell you that I love coming up with ideas and translating experiences into stories, and that I think existence is infinitely interesting but simultaneously equally strange, which I hope to reflect in my writings, and that I hope you'll enjoy my writings, I have to say - you are looking smashing today!
